Congress took their Pay Raise Last Month
Well they did it again. After insisting that CEOs and other executives forego their salaries and bonuses, congress evidently felt they have been working so hard that they didn’t bother to put a halt to the automatic 4700 dollar pay raise that kicked in in January 2009. This on top of the 4100 dollar pay raise they received in 2008. They classify this as a cost of living raise.
That is an extra 2.5 million dollars we are going to shell out this year to our leaders. They do such a bang up job that they opted to give themselves more money!
Its not like we don’t already cover all their vacations, flights to and from Washington, meals, cell phones etc. How much money do these guys need in order to represent us? This is so crazy and maddening that I can’t hardly type this blog!
America it is TIME for us to hold our leaders accountable. Find out who your representatives are and start watching how they vote and what issues they are bringing to the table. And when elections come around let’s get rid of those that are there for themselves.
Serving your country was never intended to be a lifetime job! Let’s get these clowns out of here at our earliest possible convenience.

No I am an independent. I don’t agree with all of any parties platform, and have voted both ways in the elections.
I am just fed up with the games that are being played. Before this meltdown I too was lazy. I thought to myself how much harm can these guys do? I mean all they do is stand on their soap boxes and hold meetings on steroid use in baseball.
But then came the meltdown and the same clowns who got us here are going to solve this problem?
